Box Score said 4098 for a mid-week game. Is that normal?

Over 4,000 paid for a midweek was common for us in the years after renovation/before Covid. The crowd last night was very nice. Not close to 4,000, but I'd venture to say that crowd (butts in seats) was more people than a lot of state schools will report in their biggest paid attendance game for the year.

He is speaking of the city, not the university. Makes total sense and has zero impact on naming issue.

I don't think its Lafayette "the city" that Deggs is having a love affair with.

I do think its Louisiana Athletics, the cULture, the winning, the gameday atmosphere, the people.

I was born in, and work in Lafayette, but I think the majority of Louisiana Athletics support comes from outside of city limits.
