I may have one of the original uniforms that she talked about. It was given to me by a neighbor who had it since the early 80’s. #4. Kind of a white felt with a red script Cajuns across the front. It’s a button up shirt.
Absolutely absurd to mention SBC title count. If they had a softball conference from the beginning she would have dominated it as coach.
That's what you get with him, absurd questions...Originally Posted by CajunEXPRESS
Well RWB and myself are on opposite ends of the spectrum on Yvette's accomplishments.
If Louisiana had been in a conference its entire history start to finish Yvette could and probably would have 12 more conference championships, but UL would have never became the national power that it is.
Great points turbine about independent vs conf and national implications…… but i fail to see how asking a question identifies an end of the spectrum that one could be on?
The other thing (big picture) we miss in the national discussion of building powers the old way vs the new p5 conference way, is where would the sport be without those who started it basically from scratch like the USLs, if the sport had waited for the big $ conf, joany come latelies to come around would there even be a sport?
When Yvette started the program there was no SEC softball, and damned few big money schools except for the PAC12. So to speculate on that is absurd hogwash. It is what it is. The observation of actual titles she won at UL is a false narrative.
