8-1 after 4.
8-1 after 4.
We’ve given up 2 runs. Pack it in. We’ll try again next year.
8-2.
Well, Cajuns turned Nicholls into Eli Apple...burnt toast.
Off to Oak Island...
Roar…I go watch it in the other room while wife watches “This is Us”. Nope, not one of “us”.
I fully know they’d never show real treasure and they always get “wood” in more ways than one…lol.
10-2
Have to say picture quality Is much improved from last year.
They possibly are about to find something. Pulling up a lot of old tunnel wood at around 100 feet.
The team had never started the season with five straight shutouts. However, they have started the season with four consecutive shutouts four times, 1995, 2010, 2015, and 2019.
Nice to see Frankie in the game tonight as a PR.
The 15th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team heads into an eight-day break prior to a showdown with No. 2 Alabama holding a 6-0 record after tallying a 10-2 (5 inn.) win over Nicholls on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.
As I stated yesterday in a different post, it was going to be hard to keep Nicholls from scoring they are a decent offensive club as shown by the fact that they got 5 hits and 2 runs. But where I knew they were going to struggle was going to be pitching and defense. Their was no way they were going to hold us down. Their best pitcher threw 3 innings and gave up 7 runs (6 earned) and their backup who came in didn't fair any better.
Sam is going to struggle a little as she is a Freshman, but with time she is going to be fine. I am excited to see this team grow and learn.
Next up is a one game Thursday night affair with #2 ranked Alabama. Bama is 4-0 with wins over Southern Utah, Oregon State, #9 ranked Arizona (an 11-0 5 inning game) and New Mexico.
The 11-0 victory vs Arizona is scary. Alabama is out scoring their opponents in 4 games by a score of 33-4.
