They are shooting for March 14.

I texted them last week and they said they don’t have enough employees to keep all the locations open.

Yeah, that’s because they told their current staff wages were going down and hours were going up and benefits were probably being cut.

Anyway, hopefully within a month.

Also a good possibility we get more merchandise that says LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE and has yellow and chili peppers like they often have at Academy and other oblivious national retailers.

That’s what I liked about the Red Zone. They knew better than to stock stuff like that.

This quote in particular is what I’m referring to, but the article in general is a good read and I suggest anyone interested in this read it:

Just an FYI: the new location on Lewis St is no more. But I guess it’s good news, since we have rented that space to Barnes and Noble, which provide a nice revenue stream for us, and what the original plan was for that space.

Maybe the RZ will move back to Blackham?

It seems like the University, with its business and marketing school, could hire someone and come up with a plan to run their own stores! Whats next, B&N teaching courses!
