You can see "Redbug" on the right side (under the tent). My oldest daughter (entering UL next semester) is sitting on the ground. I spent the morning painting while my daughter was helping with one of the murals. We are eating Judice Inn hamburgers and listening to Cajun Fun's jokes. (His jokes make us want to go back to work)

Has this been finished, or is this the final version?

    No it is not finished.

Per chance I talked to Mr. Broussard on a couple of occasions, once on the phone and once at a basketball game. He said hurricane Lili really set him back as I think he works for a utility company.

If I understood him correctly he plans on having it finished over the summer and he also wants to do some art with some of the support posts.

    I'm ready.

The picture on the far left of Jake is from a photograph that I took in Lubbock, TX in 1993 against Texas Tech. I think we used it in that years' yearbook.

    UL Football Cliff Broussard's mural

I was at Cliff's house once and he had a mural of Joe Redding on his wall in the kitchen.

    Great artist!

Is this mural still up there? Wish there were prints of this.

Man this brings back memories. I volunteered that year and brought my "high school aged" daughter. We were looking at all of the artists doing their murals, and one asked my daughter if she wanted to help. She painted about 4 hours with artist, mostly on backgrounds. Now as an adult, she always points out that mural and the work that she did. (north side of the stadium at the ramp)

The Murals really add a lot of nastalgia to Cajun Field, which just makes game days that much better. Or in the words of a wise man, more better!
