That one photo is Coach Bustle on 'weed patrol' on the student side of Cajun Field.
This guy is a worker!!!! So are the players and other coaches he brought with him to our project.
thats a good looking guy! man, I'm so far past that point already it ain't even funny. If you cruise past the stadium at night, and the lights are on the second level, then I'm there. Usually work between 8 pm till midnight or so. Stop by if you got nothing better to do.
If you go up there to visit this artsy guy, be careful not to trip on all the empty dip cans.

Good job Zant.

Hi Sandra,
I was at the big "clean-up" gathering last weekend, and the scene that John's painting, from what I was told, is of a football game that took place in front of Declouet Hall in 1901. I don't remember who they said SLII was playing. I was honored to be able to participate in this operation, even if it was only for a day. I got to meet up with some old friends(yes, including Zant!) and even make some new ones. It really was a fun day. I can't wait for the first home game so I can see how everything turns out!! It looks great already!!

VO,
You are absolutely correct! Of all the things I like about Coach Bustle, his willingness to get out and bust his bottom in the July sun, to pressure wash & pull weeds with his coaching staff has to be the most impressive.
And his kids were out there with him, too. GREAT young men.
I think this team is going to have the character we want in a squad. I'm pumped.

Volunteers make difference at the Cajun Field complex
Posted on August 13, 2002
The United Louisiana Cajuns thank the more than 200 volunteers, sponsors and contributors who made the recent Work Weekend at the UL Lafayette athletic complex an enormous success.
There is another workday on Aug. 17, to paint the student side of Cajun Field, and the entrance to the tennis stadium. If anyone wishes to participate, call Gerald Hebert at 482-0927.
This clean-up was a small first step in moving Ragin' Cajun athletics forward, and the differences are already quite impressive.
A lot of credit goes to Gerald Hebert, who had the vision to realize that many fans want to contribute their time as well as money, and want to take personal pride and ownership in the University. Many people thanked us for giving them a chance to contribute their free time.
