... “ Boomer loves NOLA small private schools”….so where does this come from? ….my guess is saying that Issac might make it at Fla……well I guess I along with the top minds in college football recruiting based upon UL’s contribution in recent years to NFL off linemen…..my guess comes because of their actions…..the kid looked like a giant amongst kids but he did look pretty impressive……btw Newman had 2 sign with LSU…….but really don’t know the teams!
My question is why didn't that top mind think Isaac was worthy of a scholarship while he was the HC at UL? And why did he wait until his former staff offered him, to come back on him to offer him a preferred walk-on opportunity? My guess is Billy Napier was just being a turd and really didn't think about what is best for the athlete.
……I think the answer of what was being offered is one of who was offered in addition to Issac…..again I don’t know but this happens All the time and you know it…..players A, B and C playing the same position….A is offered but don’t think we can get him…. B is offered and getting him would be a great catch but % is not great…C is really in play so we offer and he commits early…..D we play along but don’t offer but possible PWO and not letting him go on a full ride to another smaller school….again don’t know, but the food chain changed for UL and Fla……Fla and UL didn’t get what they thought and had to go fishing by upping the anti…..happens all the time as the recruiting wars are nearing their end for the year!
I know about this because I asked. If you didn't offer the young man because you didn't think he was good enough to play in the SBC, why would you offer him a prefferd walk-on opportunity to play in the SEC? And why would you pass on athletes in your own state, Alabama and Mississippi to offer him a preferred walk-on? Sorry, I'm not buying the line this happens all the time. Do programs offer athletes after re-evaluation, yes all the time. I don't recall UL ever offering a preffered walk-on to an athlete three states away, after deciding not to offer them a scholarship.
Boomer you have been in love with NOLA school athletes both public and private. I’m not going to name all the people you’ve gushed about. It’s not a bad thing. Lots of quality players and people come through those schools.
Instead of being defensive start those 21st century pep tunes.
Why be vindictive? Doesn’t make much sense. At least he’s never publicly said anything negative about the university or it’s people. Recommend CMD. No it’s something else.
He arrived in a UF countryside full of previously burnt bridges and had trouble establishing his own footing in an abbreviated period. He then resorted to the only recruiting connections he had ... Louisiana.
As time goes on his Louisiana tethers will wither.

I’m not sure. It doesn’t ring a bell. I’ve perused the football rosters on their website from 1999 to 2006 and the name is not jumping out at me.
