Can’t afford Patrick.
A source confirmed Patrick will have a two-year contract with Oklahoma and receive comparable annual pay to the $600,000 he was set to receive at Arkansas — including a $200,000 retention bonus if he stayed through the end of next season. His annual salary at Arkansas was $400,000.

Don’t see UL topping 600k to replace Marlin where many are complaining that’s too much to begin with.
There are brilliant basketball minds out there that would gladly coach for $50G
The chance of identifying them is next to zero.
When you pay the big bucks up front, you are paying for some other school to have done the vetting for you.
I'm not concerned about that number, he's in the ballpark and we could offer incentives that take him above that number. It's start by reaching out to his agent and confirm that he has an interest and what would be his parameters. If he eleminates himself, you simply move on to the other candidates of interest.
That’s why he has to go before the tournament.
That happens, you could be president of the Rebounders' Club.
Naw, don't worry, we have the Georgia road trip yet to play. I didn't stay after the game ended last night, what was up Keith Richards' portal that he was bent about last night when the game ended? Guessing he was just trying to fire his guys up for Saturday. Or maybe he is on the way out and feels the heat.
ULM probably willing to keep him long enough to pass Bobby Big Fish for the all time SBC victory. If we fire Bobby that could happen next year. Not many games separate the two. Pretty much tells us neither good enough for bigger gigs.
Richard is well vested in the retirement system. Started in ‘84 as a GA at NLU, entire career in the state retirement system except for 4 years at Marshall after the GA gig. So he’s 34 years in the system. Includes 21 years as a head coach and ZERO NCAA tournaments.
I’ve posted it before and here’s another example. An individual, who is a nice and decent human being, surfing the wave to a nice retirement.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t give him credit for dealing with APR issues at ULM. That may be his gift, cleaning up other people’s errors.
Richard is 128-213 at ULM before this season, Marlin at 205-151 at UL.
Forgot he was at Ruston, 57-29 SBC. 185-242. And he’s +2 this year on Bob.
