BATON ROUGE, LA. (AP) - Stevan Ridley ran for 104 yards and a touchdown as the White team defeated the Purple team 24-9 in LSU's spring football game Saturday.
Ridley did most of the work when the White team drove 80 yards in 10 plays for a touchdown on the opening possession of the game. Ridley capped the march with a 4-yard scoring run. Ridley carried seven times for 70 yards on the possession.
The White team's other offensive touchdown came in the second half when Jarrett Lee completed a 4-yard pass to Chris Tolliver. Lee played quarterback for the Purple team in the first half.
While playing for the Purple, Lee had a pass intercepted by Craig Loston and returned 22 yards for a touchdown. Josh Jasper kicked a 57-yard field goal on the final play of the first half for the White team.
All of the Purple team's points came on field goals. Jasper made kicks of 21 and 47 yards in the first half. Drew Alleman made a 42-yard field goal in the second half. Michael Ford, who played mostly for the Purple team, rushed for 139 yards on 19 carries.
