Why care?

Just saw a former UL player posting some stuff on social media.

Whole lotta "#Florida" stuff.

If they don't care, why should I?

Do they care about leaving a legacy?

Do they care about their fingerprint?

Was it really about a "#cULture"?

Not saying I'm gonna stop caring, I just need somebody to back me off the ledge.

*Note that I'm also experiencing the emptiness of Payton retiring.

Some care, some don't. That's fine. Extends from our student athletes and out into our general student population. Some embrace the idea of the culture. Some are fine using the university as simply a means to an end, whether it's a spot on the football team, or a university you're merely there to get a degree at (ex. students and alumni crossing the basin on Saturday).

Let those that don't care go, and like that player's dad said, "ride with who wants to ride with you."

Without any context of what was posted. Im guessing former players have relationships with now former staff thats currently at Florida. players wont cut off the relationship because locations changed, they have always known coaches and players move around for their careers. Fans take a much more singular approach to how they see people due to most never having relationships with any of those players or staff, but only the school itself. Feel however you want to feel about it, just know there will be lots of others that may feel differently than you( the general you)

Exactly. Look, I’m not crazy about losing all this talent, but I’m not gonna blame them for the good it will bring them. We just got to get used to this happening…..it’s all part of the whole success thing. Although not the fun part, lol.

I don't have a problem with it I have gotten a new employer and I pumped them up they were paying my bills. That doesn't mean I don't like my former employer. We have players coaching at other Universities I don't expect them to be yelling Geaux Cajuns I'm good with that if they are not talking negative about us.

We need to get a little less sensitive. This guy is getting a GA job and is excited. That is to be expected. Everything is not a shot at UL.
