Napier wouldn't have been able to do this without the current transfer portal rules. Louisiana may be the first school this has happened to, but it won't be the last.

No honestly I think it’s sad the way UL fans feel towards Napier .
This is the new normal in college football.
And if Des moves on one day you guys gonna hate him to because he’s gonna do the same exact thing and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that .
As per the rules of the game there is nothing wrong with it as long has he didn’t recruit them before they left for the transfer portal. Ethically and morally you know you kind of feel that it ain’t right….I don’t hate the guy just ain’t buying what he is selling about cULture anymore.
It is what it is. Done openly now. And Florida will fuss when Coach Nap moves on to Alabama. The portal taketh and giveth. And with NIL $$, G5s will be on the giving end.
Very enlightening Slick. This guy gets why we are so disappointed with CBN.
True. And their conversation, it seemed to me, was about the problem with the system and not necessarily Napier bashing. I agree with you: this will, no doubt, continue. I think it will be a growing issue because coaches will use any advantage they have to improve their teams.
I did like their idea of players not being able to follow their coach (at least not immediately). Like I said, I believe this will become a bigger issue moving forward as coaches figure out how to best utilize the portal and NIL deals. Us losing three players to UF may seem like small fry 3-5 years from now if college football can't find a was to create some better management of the portal and NIL.
But you'd be fine if Napier was still here and he'd be plucking new players from LSU, Florida, Texas, Mississippi etc. to come play here right ?
The NCAA created this monster. Not Billy Napier and not any other coach. They paying the man millions. He has one job. WIN. Any way he has to do it. Get over it.
