Plus the massive influx of workers from years past who have stayed, drive by and are not looking for the tops of pipes, all they see is a deck for for football fans to watch games.

You call it trouble, I call it a need to market.

Work being viewed as "trouble" is part of the problem.

I thought it was twice that (I looked you are correct)

Im not speaking of all time, I'm speaking of current residents.

Not students or the ones who died off, moved away, or built in the suburbs.

Upon reflection the number is higher

    So 2% of 125,000 (2500)?

    or 2% of 250,000 (5000)?

You have to admit, this is hyperbolic speculation?

Turbine, as a historian of the athletic program, you are invaluable and when arguing with other folks about the reality of our program, I cite you with great frequency.

But sometimes your reliance on hyperbole sells you short.

We should have total market saturation in the entire area of Acadiana. Advertise and evangelize by every means possible in this area. This is where we get the most bang for our buck.

Louisiana Athletics has an opportunity for growth and awareness.

    They've barely tapped the surface.

Upon further reflection the percentage is much higher, but dismally low by most standards.

It begins and ends with UL students. You build a fan base and donor base with current students.

We do a poor job of doing that.
