Can we get a counter on for the start of the demolition at end of 2023 season?

That counter might be a risky investment with a negative ROI

If anyone is interested—McNeese just broke ground on a new state-of-the-art press box for their stadium:

Except for a few premium covered rows, NO UPPER DECK. So never a chance of looking like an empty stadium from the road.

That's what The Swamp should jump on.

A fully enclosed bowl and an incredible press box with many venues underneath.

Apartments, offices, coffee shops, meeting rooms, post game press room, rentable rooms for corporate meetings etc.

Louisiana's first football stadium 1913-14 had a covered awning.

I spoke with someone today who said the contractor has been picked and that they will start after the last game of the season.

Hasn’t gone before the ULS BoS yet I’m pretty sure.

You can’t see the stadium from the road so you are correct. Just looks empty from the parking lot.

McNeese, just like LA Tech did, is benefiting and taking full advantage of a storm and the money being sent to them by FEMA and insurance. Otherwise, they would still be in the same stadiums they always have played in.

After what those two hurricanes did to that city and that campus I’m glad they’ve gotten that money.

Have they not been able to use that press box since the hurricane?

As far as I know, they have not had a formal press box.

I like the idea of no real upper deck but awning on the student side would be a waste of money cause it would only produce 25% of the shade it needs to.
