  1. Default Re: Cajun Field update

This place is filled with OPM Dreamers . . . that’s why no projects get started or completed . . .

This place is waiting for someone with that kind of money to step up . . .

    Waiting.

Steve Jobs didn't go to existing Apple customers for the money, he got creative and innovated.

    Absolutely not.

But we should’ve taken a page out of MLS and modeled the remodel after Euro Soccer or MLS stadiums.

It would never fly here because our 7700 fans are too traditional.

Maybe Bill didn’t want to be a monopoly. A monopoly gets so much more government interference. I may be recalling it wrong, but I believe Microsoft had already been found to be a monopoly in one aspect of their business model.

    He might be tipsy too.

He invested $1billion in Heineken a couple weeks before the Bud Light controversy.

Sometimes good timing is just good fortune.

Yes, by making Internet Explorer the default browser of Windows, they were deemed to have an unfair advantage.

Without an upper deck the overhang project could save the overall project big bucks.

Starting with the student section, something similar to this place would be nice for mid day events and Louisiana rain.

Agreed it would go a long way and would solved the whole issue with the lights and banner

An overhang on the student side will not provide much benefit when considering the layout of the stadium (i.e. student side will always be facing west) and the time of home games. The sun does pretty much the same thing for early/mid-season 6pm games and late season 4pm games. It will be in your face until it goes down behind the home side.

The only time you will benefit is if its an earlier game, which we try to avoid.

You seem you know what you are talking about. What about a shorten overhang with lights attached like Tulane?

It could look similar to the University of Washington stadium. Also, cut off the top of the extended poles atop the east side of the stadium. It gives it a really unfinished look. And, bowl the stadium. No more kiddie playground in the NEZ. This a college football stadium, not a day care center. JMO.
