I think they will be moved, eventually. They really don't affect the ribbon board and it will be expensive, at least in my world. I envision bigger and brighter lighting, possibly led.

Remember the old Tigue lights compared to the new lights, pretty much the same change. Again, this is what I envision, not anybody that is important!

I remember you suggesting that, your suggestion isn't banner related but more of a long-standing request.

I don't have any issue with the light poles. I'd rather them spend that money on marketing and promotion. Better yet, actually hiring someone that knows how to.

I bet once an overhang is extended to the light poles, it would be only a modest cost to move the ribbon board to the outside of the new overhang. Just be happy that at least there will be a ribbon board this coming year . . .

ps No seat in Louisiana Stadium will be as far away from the board as LouisianaB was when he took the picture. Thanks by the way.
What they need to do is something like this on the visitor side. Above the ribbon. Just the overhang .

I say over hang the entire visitor section !!! It would be nice. Lights would be on the edge of the overhang. The entire visitor section would have shade, and the ribbon would have an unobstructed view. I also prefer something like this if we were to over hang the entire visitor section.Name: IMG_5301.jpeg

I love it, they can use the existing poles for structural support.

They say we always moving the goal post. Students and Athletic Faculty need to have THE OVERHANG PROJECT. Give it a name sponsor the over hang. The Super1Foods overhang whatever. Just so we can get this thing moving and removing those lights, and providing shade to our students, visitors and diehard fans. Also band members.

Also it would be louder on third downs: just throwing that out there .

Would a liquor company sponsor it if you called it the hangover project?

I love how some want to spend money on non-revenue generating projects. Yet, we do not have all the money for those items that will pay for the stadium. Where is all this money coming from?
