I always loved that idea of being able to see the Cajundome through the stadium. Cool concept that won’t happen.

Can we show a need for more dorms and get the state to pay for inclusion of dorms on the East side? Since the West side is key with suites, a little delay on redesigning the East side shouldn't be a problem, especially if we can get dorm rooms for athletes at the athletic complex.

That isn't going to happen. You would be hard pressed to find any University in the country that has paid for dorms in the past couple of decades. Dorms these days are done with third parties and dollar lease programs for the property. All the new dorms at UL have been done that way. I believe it is under Ragin Cajun properties.

East side is going to be nice with athletic staff offices, food service areas for athletes, etc. I really so no reason to put dorms in the mix.

…….so what is needed are student related projects with being adjacent to huge number of parking each day….ergo a place for emergency medical facilities, dinning areas with visiting areas…….need some help of what could be justified in adding like athletic administration which is very badly needed!

    FYI,

I thought heard Jay say on the GSU broadcast say that the next time he and Big G are home for a UL game that their accommodations will look different. He stated that some preliminary work to the pressbox will be underway. I am not exactly sure how he worded it, but that is what I thought he stated. Maybe Jay or someone else can remember what exactly he said.

In the 1940's Louisiana requested new dorms to address capacity and growth potential.

The State responded to the request by opening 3 new colleges.

They will or have started dismantling part of the pressbox suites.

Just so I'm understanding, the big push to generate fan interest using the new stadium will take place prior to the 2025 season, and the new stadium will be half-completed?

I'm guessing there will be a big announcement at some point soon?
