The “Cajun” fans are very fragmented on multiple levels and multiple reasons. But that’s to be expected with a small RCAF membership.
Meanwhile, this is interesting. Make long range financial planning interesting. Mothership getting more a liability to Mr. Mouse every day.

I think the whole sports television industry is headed to implosion. ESPN/Disney is desperate for cash. Courting the big 3 pro sports for “partnerships” at a time the big 3 have their own networks speaks to how bad ESPN is overextending in the future.
Fox is still in the game but like a poker game, doesn’t appear they pushed all their chips in. CBS and the SEC are parting ways after this season (SEC and ABC/ESPN partnering), while CBS appears to be moving some games to Paramount/CBS Sports this year. Yeah, that’s a big middle finger, CUSA treatment to a lesser degree.
2025 may be the year everyone points to as when the dynamic changes, but it may not be for the overall good of college athletics.
Well if the football only fans would go to softball and baseball it would be standing room only for every game now wouldn’t it? You can’t make people enjoy a sport they don’t like. Going from 7k to 9500 isn’t exactly going to fix our attendance problem in football. Instead of trying to insinuate that somehow the people that support baseball and softball first are the problem, football should try to find out why since both sports are usually in top 15 in attendance in the country.
. . . and some wonder why . . . thanks for putting it out there in a form that is irrefutable . . . and to those who are constantly preaching that Louisiana got it wrong by doing Lamson and Russo before Cajun Field . . . had you found a Lamson type or Russo type donor earlier, maybe it would have been a different sequence . . . But you didn’t . . .
