Displacing current UD1, UD2 & UD3 season ticket holders without the opportunity to increase or meet the obligation to purchase comparable seating would be a huge mistake.

Yup. I remember having great seats in Blackham, the move to the dome went from between the time line and mid court to the last seats court side against the rail. Thanks to the novelty of the sudden big donors coming and going, we were back at the time line in a few years.

Hope this is handled better than that. Ran over existing donors to accommodate quick money.

Why not put chairback seats between the 40 yard lines on the student side? Students can sit from the 40 yd line to the SEZ as needed. Better seats for ticket holders, more revenue for the athletic department and more people seated on that side of the stadium. Students still have good seats, in fact much better than most do in P5 stadiums. That will help fill out the stadium and help eliminate the fans vs students in the current configuration .

It would be nice to do like app state does and have the first 10 rows or so goal line to goal line for the students. Then have chairback season ticket holders behind them.

We need a back to all the seating at Cajun Field. Wonder how much that would cost. Maybe just add it on the 50 on the student side?

I don't see us doing that.after all, we've not won the Natty's App has, so we have no tradition, and really do our students even care for football.sarcasm off.

I thought we couldn’t add chairbacks without changing the row spacing? The current spacing is grandfathered in, but is we make changes we have to bring it up to current code.

Everything will be brought up to current ADA standards once the total renovation is complete.

If the university would stop running them off at every turn maybe we could build a tradition.

To accomplish true chairbacks each stair step deck needs to be deeper.

Let's imagine it could be accomplished with a reinforced overlay.

The stadium would lose three or four rows (didn't do a true count or run the math)

In addition to installed seat backs between (say) the two 40's, why not do what many big programs do?
If you are a season ticket holder, you can PAY to have a seat back installed.
Does anyone know how that works?
I think they actually do that LSU stadium (from what it looks like empty you can see several seat backs in random spots.

JB Mouton. They have been on board for a while now. They were not just selected as another poster stated.

Architects SW hasn't existed for a few years now. They merged with Abell Crozier right before Covid hit and everyone moved into AC's office. They are now ACSW Architects. Abell Crozier did the baseball stadium and Architects SW did the SEZ and APC, so both firms have done some of the biggest projects in the athletics complex over the last decade.

Ooof, rotten grapes. This is not accurate. Maybe the original concept ballooned to that, but the current design is not 100M+.
