Cajun Vic, you are so oppositional and working against all Cajuns fans, who wear Louisiana across our chest. Your negativity doesn’t help us get the funding needed for the stadium.

I give thousands annually to RCAF. We should all be disappointed the stadium is not complete. I hope we can all agree our administration, student athletes, alumni, and fans deserve a new stadium. It’s been long overdue.

The administration is not doing enough. We’ve been without a public fund raising campaign for Cajun Field or staff needed to make this happen.

While I can't say I give thousands, I've steadily contributed since the inception of RCAF and I totally agree. The longer the university waits the more the price tag goes up. At the same time more people will lose interest and be more reluctant to contribute.

Transparency is needed in terms of money in the fund, commitments for donations made, and how much $$$ in terms of both of these items is necessary for the university to pull the trigger.

Fan bases who pony up tens of millions of dollars to fund stadium projects can feel entitled to sit in new stadiums. We are not one of those fan bases. We aren’t entitled to sit in a fancy stadium because at the end of the day we didn’t pony up the money for it.

I assure you that if we had done our part shovels would have been in the ground long ago. The fact that we didn’t meant it took much longer for UL to come up with $60 million — which is no small task. And of course COVID, construction costs, etc. only complicated things further.

The project is going to get done because the people you are trashing were privately working their tails off behind the scenes to turn lemons into lemonade.

If we had done our part? Who is we? You can't keep asking the same folks over and over for money. I also never got the memo asking for money for stadium renovations.

It's never the people that retain a coach after years of mediocrity, pay him at an elite level (for our league) and then bi+tCh and complain that we can't afford today's COA stipend to recruit football players. It's never the people that spread propaganda that has LONG AGO turned off a deeply routed fanbase in MBB. It's never the people that didn't lift a single mother ____ing finger from the time we HOSTED A SBC CG in Lafayette, LA from the time we kicked off the ball in 2023 to do any ounce of selling, promoting, engagement, business development or communication; but then yet again, blamed the fans for attendance. It's never the people killing off the greeks and chasing students from games. It's never the people that have spent more time KILLING OFF development opportunities around the sports complex than cultivating them. It's never the people that arbitrarily jacked up prices, rearranged tailgating spots, chased off legacy fans, destroyed the very small donor base that we do have and failed to adjust to an ever changing Acadiana.
