Is that the conference tournament or the regular season?

Marlin's buyout would be $200,000 if terminated before March 31, 2022. so April 1st it hits zero lol

Men's basketball coach Bob Marlin's contract would be extended one year through 2023, women's basketball coach Garry Brodhead one year through 2024, baseball coach Matt Deggs one year through 2025, softball coach Gerry Glasco one year through 2026 and soccer coach Lance Key one year through 2025.

Marlin's contract — most recently signed in 2019 at $552,476 annually — would automatically be extended by one year if the Cajuns win the Sun Belt regular season title or qualifies for the NCAA Tournament. Marlin's buyout would be $200,000 if terminated before March 31, 2022.

Winning the regular season is highly unlikely. Now we understand why Bob said all that matters is three games in March.

I wasn’t aware of these details. No way he gets let go now. And honestly, it’s probably in the university’s best interest to not do so and keep $200k.

I think it's in their best interest to get rid of him NOW. Can't risk him stumbling into another extension and 5 more years of apathy.

This program needs a young, enthusiastic coach to bring back the fans. Ticket sales will negate what is owed to Big Fish!

If the right people wanted him gone, he would be gone.

They wont fire him but I can see forced retirement at the end of the season regardless of the outcome.
