I have never heard of a coach correcting a player for not using UL instead of ULL. And, I've never heard of a coach complaining about it.

That’s a surprise. The administration has fought hard to shed the extra L and promote Louisiana. Coaches promote UL and Louisiana also. I guess fans are just sensitive to it.
