That's why having guys like Munoz, Viator and Leger on the offensive staff is huge. Munoz has been an OC that calls plays, Viator OC and HC and every coach that knows him says he's a hell of a play caller, Leger has been participating in game planning for a while too. It's not like Des is doing it by himself. I honestly think next years play calling will be better than the last 4 years. That was not napier's strong trait IMO. Also all the pieces are in place to keep the off season program in tact.

I'll be honest, I didn't even think Des was in the hunt. But after the hiring I did my research, which I did none prior, and what I found is what I believe Dr. Maggard knew, and what BN knew, this man is a leader. Every day I feel better about our new HC.

Maggard never discussed who he interviewed that I recall. I’d be very surprised if it was. Those not chosen, or decided it’s not for them is usually very private. Really don’t know how we knew Billy wasn’t going to Auburn or some others. His agent must have leaked it.

That's another reason why I am so happy Dr. Maggard is our AD (or whatever the new title is), he is a true professional. There is absolutely no reason for him to talk about whomever he thought about, talked to, etc.

And agents spill "news" a lot, just to spike interest ($$$) in their clients. Who knows what is true?

Well I haven’t heard much of anything since just after the season ended. So I may have been a little presumptuous, but I think he will suit up as a Cajun next year. Kind of a homecoming for him.

School started last Wednesday. Announcements could be made by now if the parties agreed to make information public. On the other hand, they could wait until February signing day to say something. Coach Napier moving on may have impacted this guy's decision as well. May have changed his mind.

I’d rather not say who it is and be completely wrong. That’s why I haven’t said who it is. I haven’t heard anything regarding him since over a month ago.

I assume that nothing has changed his mind. But I don’t know the family or kid. Just that he is a local and a stud.
