Cedric scored 9 points on 3 made triples in the Buckeyes win over Northwestern yesterday. He played 15 minutes. His team is 4 and 1 in the Big Ten. Being a 3 point specialist will result in a wild amount of change in minutes played from 1 game to the next. If you miss 2 in a row you likely are headed to the bench. Good to see he did well with his shot yesterday. Still point remains. Guy who was a leader here is a spot player on his new team. That will happen to several if not most of these football guys moving on.
Something can be said for a chance to play in front of
large, enthusiastic crowds with a chance to play and make a deep run in the tournament. He couldn't get that opportunity here.
Let's be honest, Cedric never had a chance to play in the NBA no matter where he played this year.
Cedric making 3 huge threes in Ohio states win over then #1 Duke in front of 20k beats anything he ever did over here.
will big fan be creating a transfer portal for message board posters?
so let me get this straight, a student athlete takes two to three years to decide where to sign to start college. then after mulling it over for a year or two they think they made a bad decision and enter transfer portal. so it took by this point three to five years and the result was a “bad decision”, yet they think in JUST three to five DAYS in the portal they can now make a great and very sound, well thought out decision?
It’s amazing how depending on the situation at hand, outlooks vary.
During the season, Levi was terrible.
Now that our roster is changing, it’s being discovered that Levi’s supporting cast wasn’t all that great this whole time. Just imagine his stats if he had good receivers and running backs!!
I see your point. If Cedric transferred to get more exposure and a better opportunity to possibly play at the next level wherever that may be then his decision might not work out. If his intention was to be a part of a big time college basketball program and go to and experience NCAA tournament and possibly advance in the tournament regardless of playing time then his decision was best for him. Either way I hope it works out for him whatever he was looking for.
