An unwarranted sense of complacency for our MBB program over the last two decades. I’ll be the first one to admit that Marlin has me to check out on the program that hooked me on Cajun athletics. The Indiana game killed what little excitement I had for this season.
However this year’s lackluster performance almost mirrors a large % of J Evans early out of conference results. A massive influx of transfers rarely results in a successful front half of the season.
Good riddance. Time for a change at the helm.
Offense in first half was much better than USM game. Defense was great in first half. Second half was a little sloppy on both ends. Perhaps having only 9 players was not all negative. Guys played loose knowing they were not coming out for mistakes. Harper and Cadwell both had strong games. They obviously worked while they waited.
UTA beats South AL by 2 in OT. Both of those teams look strong.
I thought maybe both FB teams filled in for missing bowl teams!!! Never mind, it’s men’s basketball.
