We had a QB with several Levi [helmet off] completions that warrented longer looks in games that were safe... But nooo

No, that is correct. There were only a few posters who wanted to have Louis benched. I absolutely disagreed with them, but there were only a few.

Unfortunately we did remarkably well at the QB position for the past three years. You could tell that if you watched the games. You could not tell that if you monitored the in game thread here . . . but none of that is news . . . But it’s still going on and that QB is gone . . . In fact it is unbelievable that my nice post about the QB Arsenal we still have and have recruited was met with rejection . . . Hard to please group here . . .

This is now moot . . . Out of curiosity, what is your definition of “only a few posters”

I did not count but it seems like well under ten. We have some 70 or so regular posters so I would classify that as a few bb

JMV, East and TBoy every week and they would each come in at the fringe . . . If I had to guess, it would be closer to 15 more than 5 more . . .

Even if you are correct , and I think that is way to many, that is less than 25%.

Napier rode LL to our success expecting to parlay that into an SEC job and it worked. Didn't worry about our future QB as he wouldn't be here. Surely there were games where he could have substituted in preparation for this year, yet he did not. The plus is our win streak, conference championship, bowl win and national ranking which outweigh the minus, no QB next year with any meaningful experience. Hopefully, one of our QBs will step up and lead us to continued success.

I don’t think it’s fair to a scribe motivation to what Napier did with the quarterback situation, however, there is no question that he could have given at least a little bit more experience to the number two quarterback. And, if no other reason then to protect Lewis
