I don’t think people realize how college football will never be the same again .
In light of recent events I would think more people agree with me now ?

It works both ways. Players are going to get burnt when NIL money dries up because they’re not seeing the field. Or they’ll get NIL money, not see the field, and start feeling like the NFL money isn’t going to materialize. Then they’ll look for a program where they can shine.

On the flip side, though, this new system, which is more anarchy than a system, will do a good deal of harm to college football. Even the bottom half
of the P5 is going to suffer. How much NIL money is Mississippi State going to be able to scrounge up?

People are going to get very bored of watching Alabama, tOSU, OU, and ten other programs dominate college football. Attendance at top “mid-major” programs and lower tier P5 schools is going to continue to fall. The gap between “rich” and “poor” will continue to widen.

UL could emerge as a competitive team in this environment, and we’re well positioned relative to most other non-P5 schools, but the road has gotten much, much steeper.

It’s an arms race with no end in sight. Talk about wasteful spending. College football will be full of it.
