S&C coach should be #1 hire and after that the off the field recruiting/personnel roles are the most vital.

I think the most daunting task will be to overcome unrealistic expectations from fans in his first year

He will not need connections; he can just log on here and consult with the geniuses on this site. There are undoubtable more football experts on here than are at Reinhart Drive. Hell, he could just hire some of you.

I don't have a favorite recommendation so far, do you?

Katie Turner is a name that comes to mind. Napier was able to get her from the Buffalo Bills I believe. Not exactly the same job, but he must have laid out a very good vision of the opportunity for her.
She was at Georgia under Kirby Smart. She left UL to take the position originally.

Did I expect so many support personnel to follow Napier to Florida? No, but it wasn’t because I felt Napier had some loyalty, it was my misguided belief that we didn’t have that many top tier people working for us.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated the work they were doing, but didn’t realize it was SEC-level work.

For the immediate future, it is CMD’s ability to hire top notch people on and off the field, that will keep the cULture going more than any X’s & O’s, in the Spring.
They are not all necessarily SEC level when it comes to the support staff, but they are people he trust and will get the opportunity to prove themselves at Florida.

The X's and O's matter in the spring because that's where the majority of development is taught. But I agree with you it won't matter as much because the schemes on both sides of the football won't change that much.

Recruiting is in the "Dead Period" until after the national championship game. That is usually the same week of the Coach's Covention. It is important that a few positions be filled for on campus visits in January.

I'm my opinion it is important to have in place a new Strenght & Conditioning Coach, Defensive Coordinator and his On Campus Director of Recruiting to replace Wade. Those are primary, the rest of the staff slightly secondary. But it would be beneficial to have his coaching staff in place for the final visits on the last weekend of January.

As long as he doesn’t hire from the in game threads. Too many “girls” on there. Don’t think Mike would like that pool of candidates.

I’m sure, regardless of your political leanings, were stunned when this guy pulled out his high school detailed diary supporting his full recollection that Balsey Ford was exposed

I’m thinking Billy notes at Alabama include everything in detail that Saban does including what the support staff have to master.

My example was Turner coming to UL. She was definitely out of college football, at the time.
