Found it interesting that Des said Wooldridge and Fields battled closely for the back up spot. Many have projected Legendre to be the guy as he was the highest rated recruit out of high school. I’d be curious to know how far behind the other 2 he was?
I remember one of Napier‘s first recruits was a quarterback from I believe Runnel who was extremely high on the program and who did a lot of recruiting himself. Please refresh my memory. What’s that Fields ? Or was it someone else who is no longer with the program?
I think you're hearing LL from people who went by his recruiting grade and school he originally committed to. I think most people know that Chandler is probably the favorite and Woolridge has now been here for a year so he likely knows the playbook well. LL is going to have to make sure he is comfortable in the playbook before he wins anything.
Twas indeed Fields at Rummel Catholic. And similar to Jerry Babb, who, wanted to be the lynchpin for coach Bustle, was recruiting for the team.
