I’ll just say this, a former player and coach here that worked with him at MSU and a former DC here, have both said that he gets more out of his players with less talent than anyone they know. When he first took the coaching job at ulm, he single handily kept them in games where their talent level was way inferior. I like his experience and maturity level to go along with Des.
I could see how it would be difficult keeping players bought in at ulm considering all that they lack from a facility and support stand point. Has to be one of the toughest jobs in America.
My question may have already been answered, and in advance i apologize. Will Coach Des have the money to keep his staff the BEST paid in the Sun Belt? We must keep this Train rolling FULL steam ahead. West side stadium reconstruction and expansion is huge as is Top 20 finishes the past 2 years. Coach Des must have the same or similar monies to ascertain the tools, skills, smarts in his coaching staff, its only fair and is VERY necessary.
