Every year there are excuses why we are mediocre….on paper this is probably the most talented team we have ever had and it is underachieving tremendously .

He is getting paid a lot of $$$$$$$$ to be the Head Basketball Coach at Louisiana . . . If you were paid that kinda chiching to be the HBC at Louisiana, you would still be here also . . .

How can the university allow him to also be non existent? He sends his assistants to do any interview, imagine if this whole time Napier would have had Sale or Leger do all his media obligations? Like how f’n strange. Is it bc marlin thinks he is too good to do these? Or scared right to face the music?

If Napier would have done that, he would probably still be here, just like The Big a fish . . . The Big Fish just knows how to stay . . .

Actually assistants are not allowed to do interviews. Mike Murphy goes on with Kevin Foote once a week because Kevin enjoys the conversations. As Director of Basketball Basketball Operations, he is not a true assistant. Coach Marlin has made every post game radio show this season. He also is on with Scott Prather one morning per week and on 103.7 with RP3 once a week as well. He has also been on with Jay for the Louisiana Athletics Live Monday evening programs three times. He has missed a couple of the Monday afternoon weekly press conferences due to being out of town for a family issue. I will not share details of that but can assure folks most would miss some work time as well in that situation. Understandable to be disappointed with start so far and Many if not most of the concerns listed here are valid. However let’s be factual when we voice those concerns.

I thought with learfield, he couldn’t go on other stations like 103.7?

I thought that was the case at one time but Coach Napier was on 103. 7 once a week this year and now Coach Marlin is on regularly as well. Now these shows are pre recorded so maybe rule applies to live interviews.
