Thanks. I clearly misread the UL information article.

I forgot to mention Cameron Solomon who I think makes us a better team, but if their is any position that we have incredible depth at, it is safety. We will probably get a good look at Tyrone Lewis the redshirt freshman transfer from Kansas State, but with Butler/Pedescleaux and Trahan as well as a slew of guys who play the Star position for us like Jalen Johnson, Brandon Bishop and Patrick Mensah who can slip into that position for us. So while Cam is a loss, it just means guys like Percy, Pedescleaux and Trahan may have to be on the field a little longer then expected. But _____ this is the last game of the season, who give a care if you are a little tired, make it happen and you can rest after the season is over.
By most accounts, Tayland has been and is injured, is sitting out, yet is catching grief from some on this board.
By most accounts, Max isn't hurt, is healthy, and is simply not playing.
Has Max abandoned his teammates?
And as far as "obligations" go, Billy Napier signed a contract to coach this team.
Where is/was his obligation?
If we have to accept that having good coaches move on in the middle of their contracts is the necessary evil of success, I think we likewise have to accept we will have players who likewise will choose to move on.
Admitted Caveat...I wish everybody was staying. In my world, we have roster exemptions in perpetuity and Harry Peoples and Jeff Mitchell are still playing for the Cajuns.
No Gardner and Mitchell leaves gaping holes on our offense and defense.
The odds of them getting hurt in this game are minuscule. Assuming they are healthy enough, One day they will probably Wish they had played and finished out the season with their teammates.
I hate every bit of players missing the bowl games, it sucks but it is the nature of the beast now a days, especially if you become a pretty good team with pretty good players. '
That being said, I would love to have Orlando Thomas, Peanut Tillman, Ladarius Green and many others playing as well.
Next man up. ____ happens to every team, I foresee this creating a bunker mentality with the team and focusing them on the task at hand.
Geaux Cajuns!
If max played and had got hurt and killed his draft status it would not only hurt his career but the program as a whole going forward. The reason we have legit linemen is because they’re beginning to get drafted. Having another 1-3 round lineman drafted helps more with recruiting than than possibly anything else.
