Opting out fairly describes a student-athlete forgoing a bowl game (which many of you are complaining about venue/opponent) in order to avoid injury before making an attempt at making an NFL team.

It was in frustration and it was unfair. I also now understand he has be playing hurt of late so that is even more impressive.

Honestly, I hate the opting out business and was calling that soft. I had a knee jerk reaction.

Napier could have stayed and coaches the bowl but he left on his own quitter
