Now is the time to hit them though. If they are season ticket holders, you can bet they're gonna get pounded with TAF fees & season ticket price increases. And the product they will be seeing next season probably won't be as good as it was this season. At the prices those people are being asked to pay, they should expect a national championship contender every year. The fact is they are getting their faces ripped off by an institution which doesn't care whether they exist, or not. In fact the only reason for their existence is to continue to feed an institution which pours buckets of hundred dollar bills down a man hole faster than it can gather them. They should be ashamed of themselves for contributing to that wasteful nonsense.

Every donor there has to be big just to maintain their seats. They only get bigger & bigger from that point. The fan doesn't have to be shamed to shame the team. And there is a lot to be ashamed of with the massive waste going on over there.

I don't believe any are season ticket holders, but they get giant hard ons when they do get tickets. I do cut one of them slack as his daughter goes to school there, the others, not so much...They all live outside of Lafayette or the state. I've forwarded more stuff to them this year than ever. A couple of them can't stand it....

The kid that jumped over the railing first should have been arrested. I bet he had horrible parents. Bad up bringing.

Strike it while it’s hot. The original RCAF, the Ragin Cajun club back in the 80’s started after a 2 win season. Took some intestinal fortitude to do that. The reward was the fill in additions to seating in the corners of CF.

MAT you are spot on with your analogy. Every UL alum that I know who claims to be a fan of both drives to Baton Rouge on Saturday’s, buys season tickets, joins TAF, and maybe he might pick up a paper or watch the news to see what the Cajuns did. Never actually puts his butt in a seat in Lafayette. HATE THAT GUY.

Jerry you mention the students yelling obscenities that can be heard over ESPN. I did hear those to when I watched the replay Sunday. Keep in mind we in a new era here where they heard people all season long, in stadiums across America, chant those same things about Joe Biden.

    Appreciate that.
I will say, I’m glad our kids didn’t start the political chants.

But I’d love to hear anyone’s feedback about my rant on “I root for all state schools” guy.

I used to get that on the radio show all the time. How patronizing can you get.

They "root for all state schools" until they get threatened. Then they are as vile as any fans.

But it's the ones that said they "supported" all state schools. I'd hammer them on that one by asking them to identify support. Then I'd ask if they bought LSU tickets. They didn't call back.

It's like Skip Bertman was. He wanted everyone in the state to have a nice house, baseball wise. But he'd be damned if someone tried to have a house nicer than his.

Whenever someone tells me that they pull for “all state schools” I engage with them about general wins/losses that happened over the previous weekend. 9/10 can’t tell me who any other school played let alone the outcome. That’s when I tell them “Are you sure? You don’t even know who they played. You’re not really a fan of other schools.“ They then look at me very perplexed and confused.

As the 1980's band Spandau Ballet so eloquently put it. "This much is true, this much is true-hoo-hoo".

When someone says they pull for all state schools that just means, I pull for who I pull for (LSU most likely) and hope the others win, but don't really know or care if they do or not. Usually the only way they know is at the end of the season if that team is in a bowl and or playoffs (FCS) and accidently catch the game on TV or on the news. They don't actually pull for all state schools, they just don't pull against them.

I am honest about my fandom. I am a Cajun fan first, I pull for my Cajuns and pull for them. After that, I will be honest when I say I don't pull for any other state schools in FBS (LSU, Tulane, La Tech or ULM) to win, in fact I hope they all lose, it doesn't effect my day, like UL winning or losing does, but I do not pull for them to win. I do on the other hand follow and pull for our FCS counterparts to win when they are not playing us. I think I have a pecking order with these teams, because they play each other so often, but since they are not in any way usually challenging the Cajuns, I don't want them to lose. My pecking order would be:

    Nichols
    SLU
    Northwestern
    Southern
    Grambling
    McNeese
