It’s hard to watch this sloppy play. We are very careless with the basketball. Unbelievable we are only up 3 at halftime.

Until this team learns to protect the basketball and reduce turnovers significantly, they have no chance of pulling away from anyone. After shooting 60% in the first half, as opposed to 36% for our opponent, and only being up by 3 points at half. It doesn’t look promising for the final result!

Why is big fish sitting Jordan Brown with 1 foul?

So he doesn't pick up his second with little time left in the half. Especially important since he knows we are going to depend on him in the second half. No need to pick up a goofy foul late in first half and we had a bit of a cushion. It was the right decision.

Couple observations at half.

1. Joe Charles starts over Julien? Joe Charles is averaging 6 minutes a game and gets a surprise start over one of our best players. Might be some sort of discipline thing. Turns out to be a great move as Joe Charles has really given us some good stuff in the first half

2. 12 Turnovers= Again we are plagued by just silly things. We are shooting 52% and killing them on the boards but giving up possessions with the turnovers.

3. We've looked more composed on offense and have been getting good looks. Defense has been pretty solid and not allowing a lot second chance points. Their top player has played like 5 minutes and has 4 points in foul trouble. We've played better than them but the turnovers have just been the biggest issue that allowed them to make that run at the end of half.
