Which is why I thought the announcement was confusing. Why did they say fans couldn't go on the field until both teams left? Why not just say, don't go on the field until the losing team leaves.

Also funniest part of the whole ordeal was the escorting of the Mountaineer mascot as students are pouring out the stands all around him.

That mascot is just plain weird looking. I mean, just use a real dude like WVU does not some creepy huge headed thing.

Yes, word I got from student section was that the first kid over was grabbed by security. Shortly after, security turned because tons of other kids where jumping onto the field and he ran to FREEDOM!!!!!!

The essential definition of USLing it…expecting the students/fans to be good sheep and come single file onto the field. Reminds me of the “protest” in the 70’s over the Iranian hostage crisis. Every speaker was hand pick and had their “speeches” pre approved.

Sort of angered me when I heard the directive…sure remember App fans rushing the field a few years back.

Wow, I was at that protest. I remember thinking, a lot of tough talk from young civilians. Got the call right afterwards to report to Marine Corps Reserve HQs. We left in a C130 right out of Lafayette in full 782 gear. We weren’t told it was a drill until we landed in Fort Hood.
