I 100% Support Mike Desormeaux! (formerly I will not support Mike D)

I tell you what scares me about the hire. The fact that goobers like Cajun Vic & JMV supposedly knew days before anything was official & therefore could have had anything to do with the hiring just scares the living HELL out of me. Other than that, I understand why Dr. Maggard made the decision.

Now this is funny, but only if you recognize the source. Oh, and JMV really did not know, he read what Vic posted and adopted it as his own, like he always does here.

This is my take on the situation. I think hiring someone within the program was a right move. Now whether Desormeaux is the guy only time will tell. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Things I have against him

1. Coaching experience
2. Young
3. Not being a coach anywhere else
4. Not having the connections with other coaches. We will see who he hires?
5. Being able to run a Division I-A program
6. How to manage a team
7. Knowing what plays to call and knowing what to do in key situations.
8. Having the persona to be a Division I-A coach.

If he doesn’t get it done we will tell within 2 yrs.

I just wish we hired someone with more experience that has coached at bigger programs. I support it but personally in the long run it will be the wrong move. His first test will be Marshall in the New Orleans Bowl.

I will be the first to admit if I am wrong! I hope I am wrong !

I think this post represents just about everybody here, even the "whiners". Anybody who is a cajun fan loves MD and what he's done for our program over the years. I don't think anybody here is gonna be giving up their tickets in some sort of protest to the hire but again, there are questions. I'll stand anxiously by and see what happens with the assistant and support staff hires. If Mike is able to get some really good guys in here around him I think that will ease many peoples nerves.

Regarding the two above mentioned goobers: Every now and then, even a blind squirrel finds a nut. I have found myself much less agitated these days by applying the "ignore" feature regarding Vic. I think Coach Desormeaux will be fine.

LoL! Then by your own logic, they will simply see your post about hiding concerns so no one can see them and say, damn, these are some fake ass people. Why would I go there? What else would they lie to me about. What else are they hiding that they want to keep secret?
