This is the rule now, not the exception. In the past few weeks, where are the instances of university’s announcing on-field staff before it gets out online?

Florida has at least been putting out a press release to top any leak that might have occurred.

You and a few others not getting exactly what you want exactly when you want it is not a media relations problem, it's an acting spoiled problem.

What exactly will you do with this information once you get it, that you need to know it a few days earlier than CMD gives it out?

Has NOTHING to do with your excessive use of “you” or “being spoiled”.
It has everything to do with proper media relations and getting OFFICIAL word out when it is OFFICIAL thus beating the rumor mill or national pundits from getting scoops when the info is already officially known.

The worst thing (and so far, the only bad thing) about the Des hire is the that fact that certain posters are going to be insufferable for the duration of his coaching tenure. Hoping for all our sakes it turns around!

Considering it is already almost insufferable, not much changes. Same ____, different coach.

Seems they could be utilized to do research on potential candidates.

Who’s fire are you sitting around? You and Doc Maggard just hanging out this holiday season? I have an idea of a couple of offensive targets and you could be correct. Still curious as to OC, WR, the rest of the defense and where is that strong Nola recruiting presence will come from.

Information has been really tight and difficult to come by even for a good bird . . . but I see that apparently somebody believes those were really smoke signals coming from some camp fire . . .

Speculated on that yesterday…hope he does but with the coaches convention coming up a lot can happen.

I’d worry most about losing Neighbors and Scott.

Like you said in earlier post, I think people will be happy with the rest of the hires.

Not saying that the new coaches won't work but this is what I was worried about with Des. 2 of the hires were at UL before and the 3rd is from Lafayette
