Thread: Our Very First Cajun Coach

Default Our Very First Cajun Coach

Is Coach Dez (aka Entraîneur Desormeaux) the very first Cajun Football Coach?

This one is a technicality: Raymond Didier (and probably J. Ovey Herpin) were Cajuns.

    But they coached the Bulldogs...

I think CMD will be successful, but it is unrealistic to believe UL will go 13-1 every year. I don't think that 2001 will be UL's only 13 win season, but that won't happen on a regular basis. If CMD can keep the Cajuns in the hunt for the SBC Western Division title every year and actually win the Western Division on a fairly regular basis and then win the outright SBC Championship at least every 3 years, that would be terrific!

I remember being under the oak tree walking up to the stadium. No one was there. Might have been 1500 people.

I remember going to the stadium checking out what was going on, leaving and going to have a couple of coctails, coming back and getting the same parking spot
