Nothing to do with how much he works or how hard he works. He's human, he can make a mistake, which I think he did.

Coach Napier left large shoes to fill. As great of a job he has done as the Cajuns HC, he has now moved on and embraced his new job.

We need to move on also and begin to look forward to a new era of Ragin Cajun Football.

I look forward to Dr. Maggard bringing the best possible candidate he can to lead our exciting Cajuns Team to even bigger and better heights.

One thing that was exciting when CBN was hired was the quality of assistant coaches he was bringing, and some transfers. I don’t know CDM and am not very knowledgeable on hiring coaches. he may end up being a great HC, but what concerns me is for someone to have been at UL his whole career, how is he going to convince top talented assistants to take a chance on him and come come coach at Louisiana with him. Not knocking Dr M or CMD, but hiring CMD was the easy part.

If he were leaving, why would he make a controversial choice. Seems like he would want to make a conservative choice knowing it would look good and who cares how it turns out, cause he wouldn't be here.
