I knew western Kentucky or Marshall would be the opponent but was holding out hope that espn would step in to get a better matchup

Move up a spot to 23 and regardless of what happens, we’ll finish the year ranked in the CFP. Again.

Ridiculous that we only move up a spot for a quality win. P5 does this and they would move up 5 minimum

    They say winning fixes everything…

Why Marshall? Give us Memphis instead of shipping them off to Hawaii.

Bowl tie ins. They handcuff us.

Does not seem like much of a reward for a 12-1, conference champ and top 25 ranked team. We could have been 7-5 and gone to NO Bowl. I really don’t mind the NO Bowl, I was just expecting a better opponent.

This! Nothing wrong with new orleans bowl except the opponent

There is one major goal available. If Cincinnati loses and we win, we start the season with the nation’s longest winning streak.

So give us UAB or even Middle Tenn. At least they're closer and will travel. Either a good matchup record-wise or a good travel fanbase (close Proximity). Not a ______ sandwich...

Wha... ? Not knocking Marshall, but I thought the whole point of the bowls was to get matchups you don't get to see in the regular season. Marshall's going to be in 'Belt next year, dang it.

    Or the next...

Up one in CFP. 23. Houston loses by 2 scores and moved up one. We moved up because SDSU LOST AND DROPPED 5.

Well, at least we’ll be on the mothership screen crawl 24/7 for the next few weeks.

Being on the ticker with a number next to your name is big.

We really got the shaft in terms of a matchup. I think the fact that New Orleans was always our destination hurt. App has some good teams and played CUSA in Nola and killed then.

App got a 8-5 WKU team in Bocca. Covid Carolina gets a MAC champion in the Cure Bowl. Georgia State gets a 6-6 Ball State team on Christmas. No thanks.

I know it’s about bowl tie ins, but UTSA - SDSU in the Frisco bowl is the type of matchup we needed.
