He has a strong push from the players and current assistant coaches. He also has endorsements from former Cajun Coach Napier and Coach Sale.

We will see with the next few days who the new HC will be. From all accounts I have heard it will be Mike. Me and Tboy first heard this Nov 30th that he will be a front runner. Time will tell if he gets the job.

George Munoz most recently on coach O staff would love to be back here. Should be mikes first call. Not worried about the O. It’s the D that made this team champions and the current staff will probably all bolt. Curious to see that staff des puts together.

If Mike is the coach they will not all bolt. As a matter of fact whoever doesnt follow Coach Napier will probably stay on staff. The current assistant coaches want to stay and want Mike as the HC. We will see soon enough if it is him or someone else. If it is someone else pencil Mike and Troy as guarantee to stay.

I wish MD success, and appreciate all he has done for the Cajuns. I don't think it's time to hire him as our HC. I think it would be lazy on Dr. Maggard's part to make such a move.
