Sorry, Dr. Maggard will not pick Des as the HC. Maybe one day in the future. Too many others he is not going to pass on.

Dang Jay, now you did it. You're gonna make me upset if he doesn't get the job.

Yes, Dr. Maggard will skip right over the prevailing factor which has been developed over the last 4 years to get us where we are today in the decision process of hiring the next HFBC . . . he brought us the cULture and he will protect the cULture . . .

Ryan Day: Played at UNH, Coached at UNH, Temple, UF, BC, 49ers, Eagles, THEN OSU
Lincoln Riley: Played at TTU, Coached at TTU, ECU, THEN OU

Both were full time coordinators before taking over that role and worked at several different programs

You think a #knowitall is someone who dares to #thinkatall.

Even Sean Clark worked at other schools before taking over.

    3. Lot's of yo yo's on other fan boards thought Napier wasn't ready for LSU or Florida. We know him better, and therefore know better.

    4. Maggard and CBN know Dezmo better, and therefore know better than us if he is ready.

    5. I still doubt it's him, I'm guessing a smokescreen to keep us occupied.
That is a bold and true statement.

Kinda sounds like the CUSA people talking about "hierarchy" of conferences.

Sometimes, the old rules don't apply anymore.

    LESSON

    Never defend a poem.
Let it fend and sheaux em.

I'm not familiar with any of your other "all" words so will not comment upon them . . .

If one reads the poem closely, that is what it says, among other things . . .

I'm not hearing ANYTHING here in the athletic complex. Dr. Maggard is so close to the vest and his circle is pretty tiny.

I have no idea whether Mike is being seriously considered for the job. But I will make three statements.

    1. Saying someone has to leave here to be considered in the future is not valid in my opinion.

    2. Mike checks all of Dr. Maggard's boxes

    3. If he's the guy and you think we've USL'd this (as I predicted would happen) you are going to be very surprised.

I have said from the very beginning I believe Dr. Maggard will make the right choice.
If Mike is his choice, it's the right move. Dr. Maggard is smarter and more informed than any of us on this board.

    In Maggard I trust.
You may be right. I would definitely not have any problems with mike as he is a high character all around good man. I’ll wait for results until I pass judgement on if it was the right move or not based on experience. Having said that here are just a couple quick observation.

    1. Strictly from a resume stand point on coaching accomplishments it would be the least accomplished coach hired hired here with exception of maybe Baldwin. TE to Hc. (Don’t say co OC we know who the OC has been the last 5 years.)

    2. This job obviously didn’t get the attention and the applicants we all thought it would. Maybe not as a desirable job as we would wish. Because there are some very good coaches out there with a resume similar to Billy Napier, that you’d think would be interested.

    3. If Mike is the man and he has Billy type success he might be the only person in America willing to pass up the big bucks to stay in the area he has called home his whole life. That would be the perfect scenario
