Well, good morning. There was a lot to catch up on, here.
The only things I'll point out this morning:
1. No one has been hired as of yet. And, I don't know that all the interviews have been conducted.
2. I'll remind you this is a very different coaching search from any we've ever conducted in the past. Most of you are commenting like you have forgotten that. (Not all of you,, but some).
3. Just because Mike checks all of Dr. Maggard's boxes only means he is qualified for the job in Dr. Maggard's eyes. That DOESN'T mean other candidates don't check those boxes as well.
The process of finding a new coach continues.....
I am not sure if that is a box or not, however I am pretty sure that the one individual that is most able to evaluate what CMD has brought to the table as a coach on the field and off the field for the University of Louisiana for the past 4 years is CBN.
So, when CBN goes to Dr. Maggard and endorses CMD as his candidate to replace him as the HFC for Louisiana, it should carry a substantial amount of weight. Surely CBN is vested in seeing that what he has worked with others here to create during the past 4 years continues long into the future . . .
This! It seems a few people have had a good time click baiting Coach Desormeaux in this thread. My understanding is the interview process continues, that is what was passed on to me yesterday. What some have done here is jump on the rumor that Mike Desormeaux has been interviewed and now proclaimed him the front runner. I've been assured that is not the case at this time.
One thing is for sure, when someone other than Des is announced, Vic will jump on here and say "I told you it wasn't going to be him!"
SO dude has first hand knowledge that Desormeaux is on the inside track to get the job at UL. He also has first hand knowledge that Walker Howard is decommitting from LSU to go Florida. He had first hand knowledge about this Pry guy. At least I posted the places I was getting information & backing up my points & not just trolling for attention.
