This had been a pretty boring coaching search till this thread. So (I can’t believe I am thanking someone I have on ignore) thanks Vic for spicing this up.

I do now and alway will want the best for MY University of Louisiana . . . right now, it’s looking like hiring CMD might be the best thing going in that respect . . .

What you're doing here is actually really smart. If you convince people that Des would be a great hire, and everyone buys into that...then, whoever ends up getting the job will surely have a better resume than Des. And boom, everyone is excited no matter who it is.

He has already given Maggard his answer and is championing hard for that guy to be the next head coach to the exclusion of all others, on staff or not . . . so says the little birdy . . . CBN is here this weak as much to get that coaching decision implemented as to coach the SBCG . . . both unfinished business for CBN . . .

Ever heard of Robert Lee? Because that’s what this hire would be like, if it is in fact Desormeaux.

I’m all in on Desormeaux staying on staff or following Napier in order to build more relationships and gain experience at a different program.

But we are the PREMIER G5 on the entire Gulf Coast. A Top 25 program at the moment.

Again, I’m not anti Desormeaux, but his resume doesn’t match this programs stature. It’s not even close.

Now, you're smart enough to know that no one worth his salt hires based just on a resume.
