Since payout is based on ticket sales, we likely couldn’t beat the New Orleans bowl payout unless we made it to a CFP game where everyone and their uncle would travel

There is no "higher payout" bowl game than Nola bowl. NOLA, outside the New York 6 games, is the only game we would potentially make money from

I believe that the bowls are almost all conference tie in. The SBC still has the weakest bowl tie in. Hopefully that’s changing in the future.

Well, we need to win and these games could help us:

    15 Pitt v 16 Wake

    4 Cincinnati v 21 Houston

    10 Oregon v 17 Utah

    2 Michigan v 13 Iowa

    Utah State v 19 SDSU

SEC game won’t help, Big 12 is a stretch.

Those not playing aren’t champions of anything, so should be able to leapfrog a few of those.

Win out, we should be in the top 20 at the end. Again.

I’m not totally sure, but if cincy makes the playoff and we win and San Diego state loses then we will be the highest rank G5 school for a New Year’s Day bowl correct…. I can’t find the rule for sure.

    I don’t think G5 is guaranteed 2 spots

I kind of remember the G5 only gets one bite of the apple. Hope I’m wrong.

An interesting comment on Sirius College Radio, Clemson would be favored over either school playing for the championship NOW. Meaning Clemson have recovered.

a second G5 team would need to be at least in top 12 to get an at-large bid if the auto bid is used in the playoff.
