Notorious BOB is the latest re-tread to emerge from Nick Saban's Failed Head Coach Rehab. We can do much, much better.

I guess the question is, why would you want him? He's not young, he wasn't a great HC in Houston. And he managed the blow back at Penn State. He's experience is not in question, but does he fit the profile of what we are looking for? The answer is no in my book.

A resounding no. I'm tickled pink at Kelly trying to make chicken soup out of chicken ____ in BR, but I would have had a stroke from joy if LSU hired Notorious BOB.

Talked with a few Bama Fan Friends...They don't like him! Offense has been bad under him (say what you want about it being a re-tooling year for Saban). He isn't a young up and coming coach. Has basically destroyed the Texans.

What about Ron Roberts? Don't think I've seen his name here yet.

I like Ron a lot but I just feel a younger coach is better for us.

I don't think Ron is interested in being a HC again and as stated, I think we can find a younger coach.

I’m not a fan of coaches about to need a walker to get around. College coaching is a young mans game. Tremendous drain on the body. The trick is to get the right young man. Wisdom, energy, and right experience is short supply. Glasco seems to fly in the face of that comment, but be very cautious of coaching rehabilitation here.

Especially when we have his younger, better protege on staff that we can elevate to HC.

I agree, but I also trust Dr Maggard to not hire someone, just because they are on this very successful staff. If PT is hired as the coach, it is based upon what Dr Maggard has witnessed day in and day out, and made the determination that he is ready for this opportunity.
