I don't think you can say that with any certainty. Now Coach Troy Wingerter might be allowed to remain in his current position supported by Dr. Maggard.

Des and Troy are no doubters. A new coach will never completely wipe out the whole staff. They always keep a few guys for continuity.

Finding someone who is comfortable with their place in Lafayette, like Bob Marlin, or even previously Jerry Baldwin, means you don’t have to keep worrying and expanding energy constantly having to hire someone new.
you need to be buried in an ant pile.

Agree 100% we will have to pay Marlin to leave he is so loyal.

They threw lots of possible assistant names, most have connections with Billy Napier in previous programs. Now Juluke could consider a move with him to Florida, but there is also consideration for him to complete his State retirement from Louisiana. He's now coached at UL, Louisiana Tech and LSU for a reason.

I could see Rob Sale joining him as a OC and Assistant HC if he's not interested in this job. He won't be an OL Coach, he turned down Saban his second year here at UL to be his OL coach at Alabama.

I hear Toney, Segrest and Hocke will be hired by him. I don't know that for certain at this point, but I think they are good bet.

Confirmed: Coach Lance Guidry will throw his name in the hat for HC at UL. He is the current DC at Marshall.

Theres not a chance in Hades I would consider anybody on our current staff. No knock on those guys, but this isnt your daddy's UL anymore. We're a top 25 team now. We have choices for FAR better candidates. I gaurantee Maggard will have interest from some pretty big names. I want to scream when I hear people suggest Des or Leger.
