NC State was only a minute or so away from dropping out altogether. They pulled of one of those miracle finishes scoring two touchdowns in less than two minutes, and pulling of a successful onside kick.

We beat a lot of bad teams. Our schedule is not very good in terms of getting any recognition as quality wins. The farther away we get from that Iowa State win, the less likely we are taken serious on a national level. We needed that Texas win, even though they are not that good, it's name recognition.

Nichols has winning record but didn't count them because they lower level. But we barely escaped so that don't help either
