ULM attendance

Well it's us "old folks" that have stuck around through the years. I bought my first season ticket in 1983 when I moved back to Lafayette after grad school. Weather like yesterday was no problem then. 38 years later it makes a difference. We were there yesterday and stayed until the end but it's not as easy as it used to be

I'm 67, age has nothing to do with it....lady next to us last night had blizzard weather clothing on along with a UL blanket...buut at least she was there and stayed till the end...

Playing bad teams at home and barely beating teams at home or on the road is also part of the problem.

The economy and the poor schedule plays a part in attendance no matter what you say or think. You might see it as a excuse but some fans see it as reality. Like T said we have no tradition and need many more years of winning to get fans intrested in coming to the games. I was at the game until the very end like I am at all games. So don't let your ass over load yourself that would be a bet you would lose.

Fan excuse # 5....why do you keep validating crap like this. It's a "rival" game, the team/program is THE BEST to
ever play at CF, winning 20 of the last 22 games, a ranked team...i could go one. The fan culture sucks because they buy into that stupid "we don't play anyone"excuse/reason. It shouldn't matter who we play! That excuse is a fan culture problem..

Sorry but ULM is not a rival. You have to get named teams to CF to get the casual fans to attend. Once they attend then you have to win those games to get those fans back. Then rinse and repeat. The whole GameDay experience has to also be on point.

I agree, more tradition is needed, and there are plenty of assets available to the athletic department to correct that in an engaging way.

Maybe for you, but for some of us, age is a factor.

And if you think our economy is bad here, you should visit the county I lived on for 25 years in NC. This is shangrala compared to that part of the county.
