40% chance for rain on Saturday. I guess everyone will just watch the game in the rain at their camp. Acadiana is pathetic when it comes to supporting the Cajuns.

No one said anything about accepting it. What some are saying, including myself is understand where we are in building a football tradition here at UL. You may like that, but it's reality, not an excuse. We are not LSU in tradition. We are not even Louisiana Tech or Appalachian State in football tradition. The only way to fix it long term is to continue to win consistently and grow the culture. We accomplish nothing by continously bashing the very people you want to show up at Cajun Field.
There is no short cut in building a winning tradition and 3 years of outstanding football won't change that fact. But you can continue to build upon what Coach Napier has started, one win at a time ......one season at a time.
Yep.
App State is a different animal. Boone is a college town with only 15000 residents, not counting students. And, it's the most progressive city within probably 100 miles. App State has won national championships in football. They have a history of winning. And, that puts them many years ahead of us as far as passionate fans are concerned.
How about going see the 22 ranked team in the nation play? When will people go to SEE the Cajuns and not the opponent? We can’t play the top 20 at home all season long. And we need to ULM to get much better so that it is a rival. We need to stop being condescending to teams in the Sunbelt and promote the league so that people will be excited to watch the Cajuns play.
I’m confident we will have 30K at the championship game if it’s not raining. Keep building the brand.

The economy? Yeah, our local economy is not down. Maybe you are just automatically thinking it is due to the oil and gas industry being down here but our economy has diversified. Real Estate is at an all time high and people don't pay top dollar when the economy is down. Our sales tax revenues are at record levels which means people are spending money. They don't spend money when the economy is down.
