Word is Maggard offered them a great deal on the buyout in order to lure him down here once the announcement is made about Napier.

Same thought, didn't think they could afford to let him go. Maybe some mutual beneficial deal was made.

If they agreed to pay it over time the exit fees from other schools will help.

Guess the Davisons ponied up. Whoever they hire, a vasectomy may be required.

All joking aside, I have a feeling Skippy was done long ago. He seemed detached most of the year, like something wasn’t right.

Back to joking, you KNOW they’re not going “woke” on this hire. If they can’t pay COA, it’s a dead job. ULM is paying now.

I’m sure Maggard has contacted his plan “A” guy already. CBN and UF just need to pull the switch.

They prolly negotiate the rate down and will forgo maintenance on there new FEMA facilities for a while. Skippy should have held out for the whole amount but the dude didn't want to be there anymore and you can tell. He lived off of P5 QB transfers and that well dried up with them not being able to pay COA.

    Holtz will receive his buyout.

Top names coming soon. New AD at Tech isn't playing around. Full COA, student fee, IPF and $1.25M HC are all incoming.

Personally - I am hoping for either Art Briles or Manny Diaz.

That was supposed to help offset travel... genius to use it on a coach you just extended last year

Holtz had an evergreen contract with automatic extensions for making bowl games. With the conference we have, it was never going to be cheaper.

    Ragin' Cajuns The Separation Continues...

According to ESPN, LA NECH and Skip Holtz have decided to part ways. Holtz will coach his last game with da Dawgs tomorrow against Rice.

They’ll likely be looking at many of the same candidates as us. And I imagine pay will be comparable. Hopefully, we can get the next guy lined up (assuming Napier leaves).
